American Gunner is having a special giveaway for this Evatac flashlight. Besides being water-resistant and durable, it can light up to 40 or so yards, so it’s perfect for Everyday Carry, hiking, and trekking use.
What I like about the Evatac Q5 Taclite Tactical Flashlight
For a simple EDC flashlight, it has 3 features: High, Low, and Strobe.
The material is made out of quality alloy, and it’s very portable. You can fit it in your pocket and in case of emergencies, you can easily use it.
Since it uses a CREE LED bulb, it lasts a long time and you can use the zoom-in feature to increase the brightness in an area.
Lastly, it only requires 1 AA battery, which makes upkeep a lot easier.
What I don’t like about the Evatac Q5 Taclite Tactical Flashlight
Free things have their drawbacks. Because it’s LED CREE, you will have to replace the battery more often.
It’s not necessarily that I don’t like this flashlight, but if you are looking for something more powerful or for a different use, then you should look more into other types of flashlights.
How far does it light up?
You can expect to reach 600 ft with the zoom-in feature of the Q5 flashlight.
How many Lumens is Q5 Taclite?
It’s 300 lumens, which is an optimal EDC flashlight. It’s perfect for when the power goes out, if you need to find your way around, or if you searching for something in a dark room.
What type of batteries does the Evatac flashlight use?
It uses a single AA battery.
How durable is it?
It’s very durable exterior-wise. You have to be more gentle with the inner parts.

It is a compact and versatile flashlight that is perfect for everyday carry. However, its battery life was too short for my likings.
