How to start a fire with a survival knife?

First, you will need to find a suitable spot for your fire.

Once you have found a spot, clear away any debris that might catch fire.

Next, use your knife to prepare tinder out of branches or lightweight flammable pieces from dry wood.

Once you have a good pile of tinder, create a small depression in the center of the pile. Then, take your knife and strike the blade against your Ferro rod (a metal rod that produces sparks when struck).

Hold the blade close to the tinder and direct the sparks into the center of the pile.

Sooner or later the tinder will catch fire and you will have a small flame to work with. From there, you can begin to build up your fire. Remember, always use caution when working with fire. Have fun and stay safe!
